Hi, I’m Virginia, founder of Maisons Childrenswear.
First and foremost, I’m a proud mum to a little boy. He is my world, my inspiration, the best thing that ever happened to me, my best friend and the reason this business exists.
Like many parents, I struggled with the thought of spending less time with my child while going to work trying to build a future for our family. I worried about having to go back to work and leave him, I wanted a life where I could be present for every milestone, every laugh, every little moment that makes childhood so special.
During one of the most challenging periods of my life, the idea for Maisons Childrenswear was born. At the time, I was facing uncertainty, sleepless nights, and difficult circumstances that left me searching for a way forward. Instead of allowing those challenges to define me, I poured my energy into creating something meaningful.
What started as an idea in the middle of the night quickly became an obsession. Every evening, while my son slept, I worked tirelessly on building my dream—saving, planning, sourcing products, creating a website, emails, bank accounts and laying the foundations for a brand that reflected everything I love, and hope you love to.
The name Maisons comes from my son, because every time I say it, I hear “my son”—the person who inspired me to take a leap of faith and create a better future for our family.
Maisons Childrenswear is more than a clothing brand. It’s a reminder that even during life’s darkest moments, something beautiful can grow. It’s proof that determination, love, and purpose can turn hardship into opportunity.
Today, I am incredibly proud of how far we’ve come, and this is only the beginning. Every piece we offer is chosen with care, inspired by the joy, comfort, and magic of childhood.
